Hello, I'm Polina! I love capturing the world around me on paper. 

Even since I was little, my life has been connected to art, in one way or the other. I remember exploring different art mediums in art school and art studio when I was little. Doodling fun illustrations when I was older. And again, choosing art as one of my graduation subjects in high school. But this path has not always been consistent. As much as I love art, I also enjoyed other activities and handicrafts, which meant my art journey sometimes had long breaks. But still, I always enjoyed experimenting with different materials and capturing varied subjects. 

My attention to detail and precision hasn’t only led me to study architecture, but also to create intricate illustrations with coloured pencils, fine liners and oil pastels. Then at some point in my life I came across watercolour. Of course, I was familiar with it, but I was never really fascinated by it, because I didn’t understand it. Until one day on an art event I came across a demo of a watercolour artist, and I got completely mesmerised by his technique. Since then, I set myself off to learn how to use watercolour. It has been many years of learning, breaks, and learning again. I still have a lot to learn, not only about watercolour, but also about art in general. I am on this journey, so that I can capture the world around me and everything in it the way I see it, and show it to you. I also want to have an honour of capturing your memories and giving me a chance to celebrate special occasions with you.

When I create my artwork, I don’t only pay attention to the composition and the subject. I also choose the good quality materials that assures that my art will be long-lasting. On this website you will see a lot of examples of watercolours, but I also enjoy working with gouache, oil pastels, coloured pencils and fine liners.
